The Callanish Standing Stones on the Isle of Lewis are one of Scotland’s oldest and most magnificent landmarks, and they were the inspiration for Merida’s ring of stones in “Brave.” Circu was also influenced by this, and designed the upholstery to resemble rocks and natural formations. Lewis Chaise Longue is a contemporary item that combines two very distinct textiles to express warmth and comfort: a soft boucle for the seat and back, and a delicate velvet for the back frame. The golden plated feet provide a touch of class as well as a feeling of mysticism and magic to the piece.
